About:
I am a photographer and new media artist based in Arizona. Once an aspiring astronomer, I became disenchanted with applied physics and mathematics and exchanged my view through a telescope for a view through a camera lens. Through this filter I explore issues regarding memory, technology, science, and photographic archives in my work. I received my BFA with an emphasis in Photography from the University of Arizona in Tucson in 2011, and I received my MFA in Photography + Integrated Media from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio in 2014. I served as an Assistant Professor of Art in the School of Art at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Moorhead, Minnesota where I taught photography and art from 2015 to 2023. I currently teach remotely for MSUM in addition to teaching digital design and new media courses for George Mason University. I continue to exhibit my nationally in galleries and museums and I have been featured on PetaPixel and HuffPost. |
